That same day, after all the lessons ended Karin had practice. She didn't forget her "punishment" so she was waiting for those extra 30 minutes with some kind of expectation.
She was on her way to the field when she bumped into Hinamori Momo, the club manager. She greeted Karin, with that peaceful expression that pissed her off a bit.
-Kurosaki Karin, righ?-
-Yup. How are you doing?- she said, just for conversation, she wasn't really interested.
-I'm fine, thank you. Do you mind if we talk a bit before training starts?-
Karin fixed her confused -Ok-

They reached the school garden, in the opposite side of the field.
Hinamori just stood there with folded hands, looking down. She was really a tiny girl, short with big sweet eyes and with her hair always tied up in a upper bun.
-So..- Karin started, she just wanted to practice and leave what it seemed an embarassing conversation.
-Oh, I'm so sorry..for calling you out and all..Anyway I just wanted to ask you one thing..- she was looking away, her mouth half-open has if she wasn't ready to speak out.
-What is it?-
-Do you like Toushiro-kun?- she blushed, but looked straight in her eyes.

Karin almost laughted it off, but seeing the awfully serious expression of that girl she remained bewildered. Was she for real?
-Why are you asking me this?-
-Um.. You know, I know Toushiro-kun since we were children and we are very close..!-
-So what?- Karin couldn't understand her point in saying so.
-Could..could you please just forget him? I mean, obviously, outside of the field..- she almost yelled (for her tiny voice that was yelling), while trembling all over.

Karin didn't take too much time to think about it.
-Sorry I can't do that. You're being unreasonable, you know? It's not that I love him or anything, but I'm free to talk to whoever I want to-
-Yes..um..I'm sorry..- Hinamori just ran away, with her eyes covered in tears.

-That was harrassment- Karin mumbled to herself thinking about what just happened.
This time the bad girl wasn't her.
She sighed. "Toushiro-kun" uh? She grinned unwillingly -I should try calling him like that too- imagining his reaction, that would have been fun.


In the meantime Hinamori Momo was running, crying her heart out.
She feared that Kurosaki girl. Toushiro was interested in her while she was just like a sister for him.
-Should I confess?- she asked herself.
She bringed herself in front of him that afternoon too.
-Shiro-chan, you're the first to arrive as usual- she smiled kindly.
-Well yeah..I'm the captain after all..- he was looking away.
-Shiro-chan! Please.. I..- she gathered her courage and while she was about to let out her feelings, someone interrupted entering the field.

-Oh, sorry..- it was Karin.
-Don't worry you didn't interrupt anything. Go change, come on!- he said, with his cold eyes looking far away.
Hinamori couldn't stand his words and went crying to Kira, her close friend.
-That Kurosaki.. she's doing it on purpose!-
-Momo-chan..do you want me to stop her?- Kira looked at her with loving eyes.
-Yes..but please do not hurt her..too much..- she whispered, and her face took a different shape.

During training Kira marked Karin very tightly, and left her no space at all to move. She couldn't score a goal, not anything. Kira was the best defender of the team, she didn't know him at all but it seemed like he was targeting her on purpose. He looked at her with evil eyes and almost made her fall twice. Karin coulnd't believe herself.
-What the hell was up with him?- she mumbled to herself, as soon as the game finished, atonished by that unusually fury.
-Slacking off, aren't we?- Kira passed by, laughing aloud.

Takuma and the others from team B approached her.
-Have you done something to him?-
-Yeah he seemed like.. mad..- said Jin
-Pay attention to him, he could be dangerous- that strange advice came from Shota -He aimed for crucial points to make you fall-

Karin headed then to the changing room, before heading over the field again for her "punishment".
The other girls already all left, she was alone. Or so she believed.

-Kurosaki-san.. -

A voice came from behind, Karin was changing so her shirt was off, and she felt chills all over for the surprise.

-You were really mean today.. so I have to punish you, I'm sorry- that crazy talk was Hinamori's -You just have to give up on Shiro-chan and we'll be great friends!-
She was spouting some absurdities, and her voice was strangely high, almost like falsetto.

"I wonder if she came here to hurt me" Karin thought calmly.
-Sorry, I hate to repeat myself. I'm not going to submit to a bully and harrasser, ok? So leave me alone- she said confidently.
Momo was pissed as hell, to hear again her words. She wasn't giving up, that little bitch. She had to use other meanings..
-Your choice. Do not regret it.- the manager fled off and closed the door behind her.

-Fiuu that was harsh..She seemed so composed and cute..tsk- Karin shoock her head in denial. She changed and was about to leave but something didn't work.
-Uh?- the door won't open.
She tried again and again but it seemed like it was locked from the outside.
-That crazy bitch!- she yelled -I'm gonna kill her if I manage to get outside!- she kicked the door with all her might.. but nothing.

She was gonna be late for the extra-practice.. damn it! The captain would totally get mad and kick her out of the team.

-Bitch Bitch Bitch! If I catch you, you're dead meat!- she screamed angry while forcing her way through the door, uselessy.

15 minutes passed.

Meanwhile Hitsugaya was waiting for her, sitting on the bench, utterly irritated.
-She's gonna hear from me.- he was a bit disappointed.
He thought she was a serious girl, that would keep her words.. and truthfully, he felt a certaing feeling that time with her on the roof..it was like a secret meet-up.
Still, she hadn't show up.
Hitsugaya sighed. It was late already so he decided to get changed and head home.

-Tch I can't believe her..Maybe I'll drop her..- he was seriously angry and was gonna deciding something awful about Karin when he heard a huge bang.
He turned by the noise, and looked up. There was nobody.
He frowned, surprised. Maybe it was his imagination.
But then again, he heard a huge noise and a voice.

-Uh?- he approched the noise and found himself in front of the girls changing room. -What the..-

-MOTHERFUCKER! ARGHH!-

Hitsugaya jumped back, shocked. He wasn't sure what was going on but got himself near the door -Hey.. who is it?- he yelled.
For a moment the bangs stopped.
-Uh? Cap? -
He knew that voice.
-Kurosaki?? What the hell are you doing? You know I've been wai- he started complaining about before but he got interrupted.
-Well, as you can see I can't get out-
-You've been locked up?- Hitsugaya looked though the door, bewildered. That girl..she was always in some mess.
-Yeah..I wasn't ditching or anything-

Hitsugaya tried to open the door but it wouldn't work. He sighed sonorously -Wait up, I'm gonna get the keys-
-Sure, I can't escape anyway- she joked sarcastically.

Few minutes later he returned with the keys -I'm opening, don't smash me with one of your flying kick- he sounded serious but was actually jocking.
He finally managed to open the door and looked inside -Are you alright?- searching for her.
-Fiuu I thought I'd end up spending the night here..Yuzu would have gone crazy.- she streched her arms and took a deep breath.
Hitsugaya carefully looked at her. She was sweating and had scratches all over.
-You're hopeless..- he sighed again.
-Hey don't sigh on me! I was the one who had to deal with that bitch!-

Hitsugaya frowned. Man, she was always so non-femminine.
-And who was it?- he stopped besides her and wathched the ground.
Karin stopped too, but she seemed hesitant -Um, well, it was a fan of yours. It's really a bother- she closed her eyes and put her arms behind her head, acting nonchalantingly.
Hitsugaya seemed surprised and angry, at first he didin't say anything.
-I will take some serious measures..tell me her name-
-...Um, I don't remember, actually I totally don't know who the hell she is. Just some crazy bith- she sneered. She wanted to take care of Hinamori Momo by herself, she was no child and didn't need the captain to fight the harrassment. It would have been totally embarassing.

Hitsugaya looked at her intensly, it was like he was trying to perceive if she was telling the truth or some made-up lie.
He was totally not convinced.
-Well- he closed his eyes, chosing to ignore the truth for now -Can you train like that? Or do you want to go home?-
-Uh?? I waited almost 20 minutes locked to go home? Are you kidding me? No way I'm gonna go home!- she grinned and did some streaching.
The captain smiled unconsciously. That's right, she was that kind of girl.

-Come on then!- he picked up a ball and started running around.


-Crap it's already this late!- the training ended, but they played for one whole hour.
-You're always so refined- said Hitsugaya, drying his sweat.
He didn't mean to play with her but just let her do some bone-crashing exercise.. but it was fun. It was a long time since he enjoyed it like this.

-Well, I'm going ahead- Karin fled away to change herself.
It was fucking hard. He was really an awesome player, no wonder he was the captain.
She couldn't stand a chance against him..but it was so exciting. Never in her life she met someone on that level, like him..

A while later Hitsugaya entered the changing room, and started to undress.
He was only with his boxer on when he heard a sound -Who left the water run?-
He was going to close it when the door's shower opened by itself, and Karin Kurosaki popped out covered with a big towel.

Hitsugaya almost fell.
-WHA- he was totally bewildered. He blushed furiously, and tried to cover himself.
-WHAT THE HELL..- he caught his breath -..ARE YOU DOING HERE?-

Karin seemed a bit astonished seeing his reaction.
-I was.. taking a shower..?-
-WHY?- he couldn't controll himself nor his voice's volume.
-Because I stank.- she quickly answered.
-I-IDIOT! I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THAT! WHY ARE YOU IN THE BOYS ROOM?-
-Oh that..-
-"OH THAT"? WHY THE FUCK..- he tried to regain his cool but with one glance over her Hitsugaya lost it for good.
Karin smirked, not trying to hide it at all making Hitsugaya utterly mad.
-You know..- she was walking towards him with her mocking expression -You locked back the room, and took away the keys- now they were face to face, just few cm dividing them.

At this point Hitsugaya had SO lost it. He was like petrified.
-Shit-

-Hell yeah, shit- Karin repeated -I was in a hurry, and well.. who cares?- she streached her back and put another towel on her wet hairs.
-I care- he was dead serious.
Karin peeked from below the towel, those emerald eyes were fixing her and for the first time in her like she felt embarassed.

-Hurry up- Hitsugaya turned his head and looked below, blushing a little.
-Yeah Yeah I'm almost done- she changed right behind him. They couldn't see eachother but totally felt it.
-Ok you go now- she clapped her hand on his shoulder.
-Tsk..you're such a bother- he frowned, pissed.
-You know...- she turned in front of him and looked at him straight in the eyes, smiling -You're funny-

-UH?- his jaw amost dropped.
Who the hell was that girl.. Daring to say such outrageous things (LOL nda). Funny him? He was the grumpy king..not a clown!
Karin held a laugh, seeing his shocked and, indeed, so funny, expression -Well, see ya tomorrow Toushiro-kun!- she waved.

-Yeah tomorrow..- he was still thinking about the funny-thing and didn't realize at first -WAIT! WHO ARE YOU'RE CALLING TOUSHIRO! I'M CAPTAIN HITSUGAYA-SAN!- he yelled like crazy, while Karin was laughing her ass off.

-Successful experiment!- she smiled thinking of her Cap's frozen/shocked face. -He really is funny-
